Framework, period and currency

Accounting framework

The creation wizard asks for the framework: Full IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, NPO, public sector (IPSAS) or a country framework (UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan). Take a moment here: the framework is locked at creation, and it decides the line items, notes, policies, auditor's report and the Zakat & Tax tab together.

Choosing the framework

Period and currency

Set the period dates and the currency; the comparative period is derived from your dates and stays editable.

Inside the engagement, on the “Period & framework” tab:

  • “Auto-resolve dates” fills the whole period from a single year you type.
  • The short name (Arabic and English) is what the {{platform.short_name}} tag resolves to in note text, so a note reads “the Establishment believes…” instead of repeating the full legal name.
  • Comparative status: normal, unaudited or restated. The label shows under the comparative column in every statement and note; “restated” adds the restatement note.
The Period & framework tab

Rounding to whole numbers is an export option; it never changes the saved figures.
